"Ceramics Now" The Jane Hartsook Gallery
I'm excited to share that Ceramics Now is currently on view at the Jane Hartsook Gallery at the Greenwich House Pottery in New York City, running from May 8th through June 13th. This exhibition showcases the work of the four 2024 resident artists at GHP, each of whom spent three months immersed in the studio's rich legacy and vibrant community.
During my residency, my focus extended beyond making, I took the opportunity to fully engage with this historic space, connect deeply with the student body, and contribute to the GHP community. Over the summer term, I taught an advanced wheel-class, led two workshops, gave an artist talk, and developed a body of work specifically for this show.
For those who aren’t able to visit in person, the exhibition is also available to view online at the GHP Store
As part of our time at GHP, filmmaker Kate Parvenski created a short film on each resident, offering a glimpse into our individual experiences and practices. These four short films will be screened at the Whitney Museum of American Art on Thursday, June 5th, from 4–6 PM. Tickets are available at Whitney.org
Being a resident at Greenwich House Pottery has been a long-held dream, and it was truly a special chapter in my journey. I’m honored to be exhibiting alongside such talented fellow artists and to share a glimpse of the work created during this meaningful time.
